Tires and Services?
Nitrogen is an alternative to traditional air in tires. A dry, inert, slow acting gas, nitrogen is used in the tires of various vehicles in many different industries and organizations. Military vehicles, racing vehicles, heavy equipment vehicles, space shuttles, and airplanes all use nitrogen-filled tires. Nitrogen has slightly larger molecules than oxygen molecules, is non-flammable, and does not expand or contract under hot and cold temperatures like oxygen. Likewise, nitrogen is a dry gas, which means it does not support water.
Whether you choose traditional or nitrogen inflation, it's important to keep your tire pressure at the appropriate level, so as to maximize gas mileage and also reduce your carbon footprint.
Southern Tire Mart proudly serves the Nitrogen Inflation needs of customers in the Southeastern US, Southwestern US, Midwest US, and surrounding areas.
